A Very Handy Tool

Many people are not aware that Google has a converter built right into it’s search engine.  Google can do a multitude of conversions like inches to feet, meters to yards, dollars to pesos, miles to fathoms, megabytes to kilobytes, bushels to…..well, you get the idea.  It will convert just about anything.

It is simple to use too.  From the Google home page, simply type the conversion that you want into the search bar and press enter.  For example, say you want to convert 10 meters to feet, in the search bar you would type “convert 10 meters to feet” and press enter.  The first search result that you see will be your conversion.

It will look like this. 

It is always better to type the full name of the unit that you want converted and not use abbreviations.  For example type “10 feet to meters”, and not “10 ft to m”, as some abbreviations will not work.
